Little Squirrel Yarn started in 2022 when Sarah, after a lot of thought told Dylan that she wanted to try dyeing yarn. Before the conversation was over Dylan had ordered Hand Dyeing Yarn and Fleece by Gail Callahan. That is probably the best way to show their two personalities.

When Sarah started dyeing it was all solo, except Dylan was curious so he kept showing up and watching before he started helping. Soon it was a full two person team dyeing yarn.

Sarah went to CSU graduating with a BFA in photography before becoming a high school teacher in a rural school district in Colorado. And just like the yarn dyeing Dylan was there to help and encourage.

Dylan has been a professional entertainer since he was sixteen and also went to commercial diving school. He currently builds silly technology things for companies that need silly technology things.

Sarah and Dylan met in high school (awwwww) and bonded over their shared love of Archie Comics and 7-Eleven nachos. They have been partners in crime and life since 2004. They currently live in Northern Colorado with their three cats and when they are not dyeing yarn they are cleaning up dyed yarn. When that is all done they watch Hallmark movies, read books, and hangout with each other.
